Public Works & Utilities

A staff of 11 persons work in 5 functional areas of the public works department:

• Streets
• Water
• Sewer
• Electric & Garbage
• Billing

Under the direction of the City Superintendent this staff maintains numerous utilities as well as maintaining the streets, storm drainage, and boulevards throughout the city limits. Included in these utilities are the production, treatment, distribution, and storage of water; collection, treatment, and discharge of wastewater; distribution of electricity; and collection and removal of solid waste, and billing for utilities.

The City of Roseau utilizes consulting engineers for utility design, assessment, construction and improvements.
