City Proclaims February 28, 2024 Samantha Peterson Day

The City of Roseau is proud to announce February 28, 2024, as Samantha Peterson Day, in honor of her contributions to the Roseau Girls Hockey Tradition. Samantha Peterson was awarded the 2024 Girls AA Herb Brooks Award at the 2024 Minnesota State AA Girls Hockey Tournament. The Herb Brooks Award is given to the most qualified hockey player in the state tournament who strongly represents the values, characteristics, and traits that defined Herb Brooks. This prestigious award will commemorate the unending influence Herb Brooks had on the sport of hockey in Minnesota and throughout the world.

Award winners must exhibit the following characteristics:
