Citywide Spring Clean-up

As spring approaches its time to do some spring cleaning.  The City of Roseau will again be sponsoring a citywide spring clean-up May 11 -15.  The city crew will go all over town with the chipper truck to collect leaves and brush.  Only organic materials left by the curb will be taken.  The compost site north of the sewage lagoons on Co. Rd 28 will also be open morning till dark everyday that week for leaves and brush.  Old appliances, furniture, TV’s & computer monitors can be brought out to the City Utility Building (1198 Center Street W) all year long for a small disposal fee.  Auto, truck and tractor tires can be brought for disposal for a nominal recycle fee. The City Utilities will also take steel and wood at the utilities building for recycling at no cost.  Construction and demolition materials should be taken to the Roseau County Demolition Landfill near Salol.  The County also holds periodic hazardous waste collections for items like batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, paint and other hazardous household chemicals.
