City Government
The City of Roseau is governed by a 5 member City Council elected at-large from the local electorate. The City Council has appointed a number of boards and commissions to make recommendations to the City Council on various policy issues. The Roseau City Council has appointed four (4) permanent full-time employee department heads: Community Development Coordinator, City Superintendent, Police Chief, and Liquor Store Manager. A volunteer Fire Chief is appointed to head the Roseau Volunteer Fire Department. An additional 17 full-time and various part-time personnel are employed by the City of Roseau to manage the day to day activities of the City.
The Roseau City Council also employ various contractors to provide many professional and management services on behalf of the city council.
